What is Activated Charcoal Powder

It is a fine black powder made from organic coconut shell fibre, that is then purified and steam 'activated'. Activated charcoal’s negatively charged, porous texture helps trap toxins, preventing your body from absorbing them.

Activated Charcoal Powder Benefits & Uses

Activated charcoal is a porous charcoal with a high absorption capacity, making it ideal for detoxification and purifying skin care products such as masks and cleansers. It adsorbs oils, pollutants, and impurities from the skin, leaving it to feel deeply cleansed and rejuvenated without being stripped or dry. 

It works by trapping toxins and chemicals in its millions of tiny pores and draws bacteria, chemicals, dirt and other micro-particles to the surface of the skin, helping you to achieve an improved complexion. 

While it is beneficial for various skin types, activated charcoal powder is especially effective for oily skin, while those with dry or sensitive skin should use it more sparingly (1 - 2 times a week). Both women and mens lines are becoming increasingly popular with the use of activated charcoal.

How to use charcoal powder as a teeth whitener.

To whiten your teeth naturally, wet a toothbrush and dip into powdered activated charcoal. Brush teeth as normal, paying special attention to areas showing the most staining. Sip a bit of water, swish through mouth thoroughly and spit. Rinse well, until spit is clear.

How often should you use activated charcoal teeth whitening powder? You can use it once or twice a week on a short term basis, however overuse or long term use may affect tooth enamel due to its abrasive nature.
