Valued for centuries and traditionally used in herbal teas, cornsilk offers a mild, slightly sweet taste, making it an ideal ingredient for refreshing beverages. Aside from its use in tea, cornsilk adds a unique natural hue to food and drink formulations.
The primary uses for cornsilk include its incorporation into wellness products, tea blends, and as a flavouring agent in culinary creations. Its gentle, subtle taste also pairs well with other herbs and spices, enhancing a variety of drinks and culinary recipes.
Historically, cornsilk has been used by various indigenous cultures for its soothing properties and as a natural remedy for a variety of ailments. Some of the potential benefits attributed to cornsilk include support for urinary health and anti-inflammatory effects.
