Mountain Oolong Tea

Oolong tea is known to be helpful for weight loss, sleep, blood sugar and pressure, brain function, gut health, cholesterol control, oral health, bone health, stress reduction and more. As such, it needs to be a part of your daily tea regimen. It is highly antioxidative due to the catechins, caffeine, theaflavine, gallic acid, chlorogenic acid, ellagic acid, and kaempferol-3-O-glucoside contained within.  

Oolong is really a tea category in its own right, being neither really a green nor black tea. Oolong is created when leaves are wilted in the sun and slightly bruised to create partial oxidation. Our oolong has been moderately oxidised as evidenced by its colour so the taste is just a notch up from a hearty green tea. Its tone is warmer than a black tea, and has perhaps a cinnamon or cocoa flavour and gives you that satisfying, smooth 'full mouth' feel. That said, if you steep the tea leaves several times, you'll find the taste of the tea changing.

Brewing Instructions:

Use quality filtered water if possible to ensure a superior cup of tea.
Place 1 teaspoon in 250ml of hot water (95 degrees Celsius) for between 5 and 7 minutes.
Strain and enjoy.
