Dried celery leaf is twice as strong as the fresh vegetable, and can add great flavour to many dishes. The leaves can be used in a variety of ways, such as in stir fries, stocks and soups or in a tea and are high in iron, calcium, magnesium and vitamin C. Slightly bitter, the flavour of celery leaf is reminiscent of flat-leaf parsley, fennel and anise but milder and the leaves contain more nutrients than the stalks.

Traditionally celery leaves have also been used in herbal tea for upset stomachs and for their diuretic properties as well as to assist with nerve health and muscle function.

Used in herbal remedies as well as in cooking and even as an ingredient in tea blends, celery leaf is a source of antioxidants and dietary fibre with micronutrients.
