ORGANIC PUER TEA

Puerh tea, also spelled Pu-erh & Pu'er, is an energizing fermented tea believed to possess protective properties; promoting a healthy heart, cleansing toxins and free radicals, protecting bone health, aiding in weight loss, and reducing stress. It has a unique flavour and fragrance. Some say it is vegetal and fragrant with a gentle bitterness. The taste can vary depending on how long it is steeped for, so experiment with different steeping times to achieve your desired taste. The tea keeps changing its taste over time so keep enjoying it as it ages in your pantry. It's akin to a good wine. It improves with time. It has many health benefits that come from the fermentation process.

A little goes a long way, especially given the generous proportions of our particular Pu er loose leaf tea.

Brewing Instructions:

Use quality filtered water if possible to ensure a superior cup of tea.
Place 1 teaspoon in 250ml of hot water (95 degrees Celsius) for between 2 and 7 minutes. Experiment with various lengths of steeping time to bring out the desired flavour.
Strain and enjoy.
